CHANCE® helical tiebacks are a pre-engineered mechanical anchoring system for permanent and temporary earth retention.
The success of the helical anchor tieback system dates back to decades of similar use of CHANCE® anchors in the electric utilities industry. Capacities up to 200,000 lbs per anchor are obtainable with this quick and cost-effective tieback system.
Helical Tieback Installation
Helical tieback anchors are installed into retained soil with commonly available hydraulic rotary drilling equipment. Once the minimum length is obtained the capacity is determined by reading the installation torque and correlating it to the holding capacity ratio of the soil strength. The tiebacks are then tensioned immediately and tested without the need of grout, curing time, or spoils cleanup – saving a tremendous amount of project time and cost.
|Maximizes flexibility with changing soil conditions||Immediate proof testing and tension loading|
|No excavation or spoils to remove||Minimizes labor costs|
|No concrete trucks or grout pumps needed||Anchors can be extracted for use on future projects|
|Predictable Capacity proportional to installation torque||Easy to store|
|Installs in any weather condition||Installs in limited access areas|
